How does the free trial work?

Do I own my content?
Yes. Your posts live in your own GitHub repository and your media in your own R2 bucket. If Chapbook disappeared tomorrow, your blog would keep working: it is a static site you host.
What happens if my licence lapses?
If your licence lapses, Chapbook shows the activation screen the next time it opens. It does not keep running in a read-only mode.
Nothing you have made is lost: your drafts stay in this browser and your published posts stay in your GitHub repo and R2 bucket. Enter a renewed key and you are exactly where you left off.
What do the AI features cost?
AI features use your own provider keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). Requests go straight from your browser to that provider; you pay them directly, and we never see your key.
How do I get support or a refund?
